EMDR & Trauma Therapy in Washington State (Telehealth Statewide)

You don't need to live in Seattle to work with us.

If you've been searching for a therapist in Washington and keep landing on pages that sound like every other practice, you're not the problem. Most therapy marketing describes symptoms. We work underneath them, at the level where the actual change happens.

You can work with us from anywhere in Washington, including Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, Vancouver, Bellingham, and Everett. All you need is to be physically located in Washington State at the time of your session. That's it. No commute, no waiting room, no driving across town on a hard day.

"Therapy for high achieving professionals and tech leaders in Seattle and Bellevue Washington."

Maybe you already know something is off.

You're managing. On paper, things look fine. But something underneath keeps running the show: the anxiety that won't fully quiet down, the relationship pattern that repeats no matter who you're with, the feeling that you have to earn your rest. That's not a personality flaw. It's a belief your nervous system picked up somewhere along the way, and it's been protecting you ever since, even now that it's costing you more than it's giving you.

How we work: EMDR at the nervous system level

Most therapy stays in your thinking mind. You gain insight, you can name the pattern, and then you go home and live the same pattern anyway. That's not because you didn't try hard enough. It's because the belief isn't stored in your thoughts. It's stored in your nervous system, and talk alone has a ceiling.

EMDR is one of the most researched approaches for reaching beneath that ceiling. It's not magic and it's not guesswork. It's a structured way of helping your nervous system finally process the experiences that installed the belief in the first place, so the charge behind it can actually decrease instead of just being managed.

We use EMDR alongside the same core method described on our home page: mapping what's really going on, understanding the nervous system without judgment, meeting the protective part of you with compassion, doing the deeper processing work, and then staying with you as you practice living differently in your actual life, not just in session.

Who we work with across Washington

Anxiety & Burnout: The exhaustion usually isn't about your schedule. It's about what you believe is required of you just to be okay.

Trauma & Core Beliefs: Old conclusions your nervous system made about the world, ones that made sense once and are limiting you now.

Relationships & Attachment: The same pattern with different people isn't bad luck. It's a nervous system playbook we can find and work with directly.

Career & Professional Identity: Imposter syndrome that scales with your success. We work with what's underneath it, not just the symptoms.

Life Transitions: Who you are when the thing that used to define you is gone. We help you answer that without defaulting to someone else's version.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance? No. We work on a self-pay, out-of-network basis. This means we're not bound by what an insurance company decides is medically necessary, how many sessions you're allowed, or which diagnosis code has to justify the work. That freedom lets us focus entirely on what you actually need, at the pace your nervous system needs it, without a case manager weighing in on your care.

What does a session cost? Sessions are $150.

Can I still get reimbursed through my insurance? Often, yes. We provide superbills, which are detailed receipts you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many PPO plans reimburse a percentage of the session fee, though the exact amount depends on your specific plan. We'd recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card and asking about your out-of-network mental health benefits before your first session, so you know what to expect.

Why don't you take insurance? Two reasons. First, insurance requires a diagnosis on record, even in cases where the work is really about patterns and beliefs rather than a disorder that needs a label. Second, insurance companies can and do limit session number and frequency, which conflicts with doing real nervous system level work at the pace it actually requires. Going self-pay means the therapy stays shaped around you, not around what a plan will cover.

Is self-pay therapy different in quality from insurance-based therapy? Not in terms of training or approach. What's different is who's making the decisions about your care. With self-pay, that's you and your therapist. With insurance, some of those decisions are made by the plan.
