Meet Carolyn
Q: What is your approach to therapy?
A: Life can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to provide a safe, steady, and compassionate space where you are truly seen and understood. I take an integrative approach, rooted in Person-Centered, Existential, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, and I also incorporate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help process and resolve trauma. Together, we explore what keeps you feeling stuck and gently navigate those challenges toward growth and healing.

Q: Who do you work with, and what issues do you address?
A: I work with adults and teenagers dealing with a variety of challenges, including:
-
Anxiety and depression
-
Grief and loss
-
Family dynamics and relational conflict
-
Trauma and PTSD
My focus is on helping clients cultivate resilience, develop practical coping strategies, manage stress, and shift negative self-beliefs. I also guide clients in rediscovering meaning and strengthening emotional well-being.
Q: How does EMDR therapy help?
A: EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories, reducing the emotional intensity of past experiences. It is particularly helpful for trauma, anxiety, and patterns that feel “stuck.” Clients often notice a greater sense of calm, clarity, and confidence in their day-to-day lives.

Q: What can clients expect in sessions with you?
A: Therapy is collaborative and tailored to your needs. You can expect a nonjudgmental and supportive environment where we explore difficult emotions and experiences with gentleness and courage. I help clients develop new coping strategies, deepen resilience, and take meaningful steps toward change, whether the goal is emotional relief, relational repair, or personal growth.

Q: What makes your approach unique?
A: I combine a deep understanding of emotions, including their neurological underpinnings, with practical strategies for real-life challenges. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients in their journey of discovery and transformation, helping them uncover the roots of what keeps them stuck and opening pathways to healing and resilience.

Q: Who supervises your work?
A: I am currently practicing under the supervision of Erica Tringali, ensuring that my work continues to meet the highest professional standards.
Looking forward to connecting!
